As youth leaders, we're usually tasked with the seemingly "impossible" job of creating activities that are both fun AND spiritual. Well, we're here to help you do just that. We've compiled a list of fun ways you can incorporate the Book of Mormon into your week night activities this year!
Book of Mormon Themed Murder Mystery:
Immerse the youth in a thrilling murder mystery set in the world of the Book of Mormon. Participants take on character roles from the scriptures, and they work together to solve the mystery by following clues and interacting with each other. This activity combines intrigue and scriptural exploration in a unique and engaging way.
Cake Decorating - Favorite Book of Mormon Story Theme:
Foster creativity and culinary skills by organizing a cake decorating activity. Each participant chooses their favorite Book of Mormon story and decorates a cake to depict that theme. This delicious and artistic activity allows the youth to express their understanding of the scriptures through edible art.
Book of Mormon Films - Youth Acting and Compilation:
Encourage the youth to bring Book of Mormon stories to life by having them act out scenes. Record each group's performance and compile the clips into a film. This collaborative filmmaking experience not only reinforces the stories but also provides a fun and memorable way for the youth to engage with the scriptures.
Book of Mormon Jeopardy:
Create an interactive Jeopardy game with categories based on Book of Mormon stories, characters, and doctrines. Youth compete in teams, answering questions and earning points. This game format adds an element of competition while reinforcing their knowledge of the Book of Mormon.
BOM Golf - Guess the Chapter:
Combine golf and scripture study by reading a chapter heading from the Book of Mormon. Participants then guess which book and chapter it belongs to. Keep track of their guesses, and assign points based on accuracy. Points are given the further away they are from the correct answer, just like in golf. The participant with the lowest score at the end wins, making it a fun and educational game.
Book of Mormon Charades:
Bring scripture stories to life through the classic game of charades. Participants act out Book of Mormon characters, events, or principles without speaking, while others guess. This activity promotes creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the scriptures.
Scripture Pictionary:
Combine art and scripture interpretation in a lively game of Pictionary. Participants draw Book of Mormon scenes, characters, or concepts while their teammates guess. This entertaining activity enhances their ability to visually represent and understand scriptural themes.
Lego Scenes from the Book of Mormon:
Tap into the creativity of the youth by having them recreate Book of Mormon scenes using Lego bricks. This hands-on activity allows them to express their understanding of the scriptures through imaginative and visual storytelling.
Book of Mormon Treasure Hunt:

Book of Mormon Would You Rather Games:
Play "Would You Rather" games with Book of Mormon scenarios. Participants are presented with choices based on scripture stories, and they discuss their preferences. This activity sparks conversations about values, decision-making, and the relevance of scriptures in everyday life.
Create a Book of Mormon Timeline:
Foster a chronological understanding of Book of Mormon events by creating a timeline. Participants work collaboratively to place key stories and characters in the correct order. This visual representation helps them see the flow of events in the scriptures.
Book of Mormon Bingo:

Book of Mormon Mad Gabs:
Put a twist on the classic Mad Gabs game by incorporating Book of Mormon phrases or scriptures. Participants decipher tongue-twisting phrases that relate to scripture stories. This entertaining and linguistic activity challenges their ability to recognize and articulate scriptural concepts.

Whether through games, creative expression, or collaborative projects, these experiences aim to make scripture study a lively and meaningful part of their lives.
